One killed in shooting at service station near Sibaya
According to emergency services, who responded to the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning, the shooting is suspected to be a hit.
ONE person has been killed in a shooting at a petrol station off the M4 near Sibaya in the early hours of Sunday morning (April 12).
According to Gareth Naidoo, spokesperson for KZN VIP’s Emergency Medical Team, the shooting is a suspected hit.
“Our medical team responded to the scene, where they found a male believed to be in his 40s who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, the victim showed no signs of life and was declared deceased on the scene,” he said.

This is the third shooting in Durban in the past three days.
On Saturday (April 11), a man in his 40s was fatally shot in the Mariannhill area.
In that incident paramedics found the driver, and only occupant of the vehicle, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
“Paramedics assessed the man, however there was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene,” explained ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.
On Friday (April 10) a man, also in his 40s, was fatally wounded in a shooting on the Chatsworth Main Road.
“Paramedics were shown to a man with multiple gunshot wounds. Due to the severity of the man’s injuries a decision was made to call in the Netcare 911 helicopter for transportation to a hospital,” Jamieson said.
The man, who was in a critical condition, later died of his gunshot wounds in hosptial.
