This year the event offers 106km, 70km and 40km routes, with the legendary 106km Classic still starting at Pietermaritzburg City Hall and ending in Durban.

“Since its inception in 1986, Amashova has grown into one of KwaZulu-Natal’s most loved sporting events, attracting elite cyclists, social riders, charities, and first-time participants from across the country. The landmark 40th edition promises to celebrate not only the race’s rich legacy, but also the spirit of unity and resilience that has defined the “Shova” for four decades,” said the organisers in a statement.
Online entries close on June 24 at 17:00, with late entries available on race day weekend.
