NOTICE OF SECTION 24G WASTE MANAGEMENT LICENCE APPLICATION FOR THE EXISTING POLYPROPYLENE PLASTIC RECYCLING FACILITY OPERATED BY FRAGRANT ORCHID TRADING (PTY) LTD AT 15 NIPPER ROAD, MOUNTAIN RIDGE, NEW GERMANY, WITHIN THE ETHEKWINI MUNICIPALITY, KZN Notice is hereby given, in terms of Regulation 8 of the Section 24G Fine Regulations, 2017 (GNR 698 of 20 July 2017), read with section 24G of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act 107 of 1998), that Fragrant Orchid Trading (Pty) Ltd intends applying to the KZN Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) to regularise the above existing recycling facility, which commenced operating without the required Waste Management Licence, triggering Category A(3) and A(5) of GN No. 921 of 29 November 2013 (NEM:WA). The project involves the recycling of polypropylene plastic waste which is received, processed into recycled plastic pellets and stored on site before being sold for reuse in manufacturing.
