HOW long before the police clear the area of street people (‘salespeople’ and criminals) in the area of the N2 off-ramp heading to Gateway?
Both present a traffic hazard and have now led to the theft of a fully-loaded powerful firearm plus extra magazine.
Very soon we will find it a major problem to drive anywhere where these people loiter, which will soon be at every intersection, with or without traffic lights.
The police are always warning us to lock car doors and have windows up, and not to keep things on the passenger seat, et cetera, so why don’t the police act on it and get these people off the streets to set up stalls well away from traffic? Similar to the method Mugabe is using in Harare!
