A VIDEO showing two vessels colliding in the Port of Cape Town has had more than 100 000 page views on YouTube. Two of the vessels that were in the dock at the time collided.

Mike Schuler, who uploaded the video, said the accident reportedly occurred at the Sturrock Dry Dock. One of the ships nearly turns sideways as it knocked into the unidentified vessel behind it.

According to MaritimeSA, the breach at dry dock resulted in some damage as two of the three vessels in the facility collided. The situation was bought under control with emergency services arriving on the scene quickly.
