DSS turns 95 and goes big on birthday vibes

To commemorate the day each class came up with a theme to parade in, as the students had a fun walk around the block

Wednesday, May 13 marked the 95th anniversary of Drakensberg Secondary School. To commemorate the day each class came up with a theme to parade in, as the students had a fun walk around the block. Making their way out of the school gates each class held their banners up high, singing and cheering as the sounds of birthday flutes and confetti filled the air.

The celebration was honoured by the presence of the Mayoress, Mrs Dlamini, who wished the school well and encouraged learners to dream big. Themes varied from “saying no to xenophobia,” “cancer awareness,” “no to HIV” and “it all comes together with culture” amongst the many others. The school would like to thank all sponsors who helped make the day memorable.
