The format for the day’s exhilarating competition was four ball alliance with a scramble drive, and golfers of all ages included Grade 1 pupils from Lucas Meyer Primary, who were the youngest players on the green. They put their skills to the test against seasoned golfers several times their age.

“The annual LMS Golf Day was well supported on Saturday. We had some brilliant water points along the way, including by NTT Toyota, and sponsors from the local community, including Pick ‘n Pay, for the halfway boerie rolls. We would like to thank Vryheid Country Club and its patrons for their loyal support, and the staff and parents of Lucas Meyer School for always lending a helping hand,” added Richter.
