Fun, family and festivities at Wagendrift Dam Family Picnic

Wagendrift Dam was abuzz with activity on December 16 when the Wagendrift Dam Family Picnic was held.

The first of its kind at the dam, the event was hosted by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife to showcase the picturesque dam as well as boost tourism during the festive season.

Hundreds of locals and visitors made their way to the dam where a number of activities were planned to keep the entire family entertained.

From stalls to face painting, blood donations and a fishing competition, the day catered for everyone.

Lotus FM broadcast live from the dam and regularly interviewed locals and posed for photographs throughout the day.

From the comments gathered from people at the Wagendrift Dam Family Picnic, it was a wonderful day spent in one of Estcourt’s most-loved tourism spots.
