Hare Krishna Movement celebrates the appearance of 'top most' devotee Srimati Radharani
The Hare Krishna Movement celebrated the appearance of Srimati Radharani on Friday night.
Radharani was the ‘top most’ devotee of Lord Krishna, and this event was celebrated by devotees and well-wishers at the temple in Azalea Drive. Information regarding Radharani is very scarce in Vedic literature, apart from a brief mention in the Mahabarate and Srimad Bhagavatm. Written detail regarding her kathas (prayers) is difficult to come by and research is required into the esoteric nature of her position. Thus it is believed that her devotion to Lord Krishna was a closely-guarded secret within Vaishnava circles. However, by the grace of Srila Prabhupada, her glories have become available to mankind.
The evening was vibrant and transcendental, with devotees and well-wishers leaving the temple feeling spiritually uplifted.
