Water goes down the drain

One of the leaks is in a resident’s yard in Taj Mahal Road, resulting in the whole yard being flooded

Residents of Laxmi Road and Taj Mahal Road in the Rose Park area have been having water problems due to burst water pipes since last week Tuesday. There have been numerous water leaks in the area, with residents calling uThukela for help.
One of the leaks is in a resident’s yard in Taj Mahal Road, resulting in the whole yard being flooded. To make matters worse, down the road at the corner of Vishnu and Simla Road, a fire hydrant was left open. “Countless litres of clean water is going down the drain. How can this be allowed to happen?” fumed one resident. uThukela workers were seen working on the leaks on Friday.
