Ladysmith police are currently compiling a database of volunteers who would be prepared to assist police from time to time with interpreting foreign languages.
It sometimes happens that the police are approached by people who only speak a foreign language. In order for officers to be able to help them immediately, they would need ready access to a local volunteer who could serve as an interpreter. Anyone who is willing to volunteer their services in this regard is requested to contact Captain Struwig or Warrant Officer Khan at the Corporate Communications office on 036-638-3335 during office hours. Alternatively, you can visit Room 209 at the police station.
