A family was robbed at gunpoint on Friday, October 11.
At about 6.30pm three unknown males allegedly barged into their home and held up the two occupants.
“The house owner was taken upstairs whereas the other male was left under guard downstairs.” commented police spokesperson Captain JS Sokhela.
The male downstairs was allegedly assaulted when he tried to identify the suspect.
The family was robbed of a substantial amount of jewellery and cellphones.
The three suspects fled in a white Golf 6. The registration plates were not identified.
Police are investigating a case of house robbery. “The motive for this incident is unknown at this stage. Anybody with information is urged to forward it to the Estcourt SAPS Station Commander on 036 342 9525,” concluded Captain Sokhela.
