Nine-year-old murdered to 'punish' boyfriend

A woman who murdered her ex-boyfriend’s son was found guilty by the Dundee regional court and sentenced to 15 years.

Busisiswe Msimango (47) originally from Nquthu murdered her ex-boyfriends son, Nkosinathi Mabaso (9) on the afternoon of May 27 afternoon when the boy got back from schoo in Glencoe

l. According to Detective Warrant Officer Anthony Tack, in the evidence provided by Msimango,  she explained that her motive to kill Nkosinathi was to ‘get back at his fathe’r who mistreated her and who later ended their relationship.

His body was found by passers-by behind the Glencoe industrial area.

 

This murder again brings into sharp focus the safety of children.  This week’s shocking murder of two toddlers in Diepsloot, Gauteng, has also got parents questioning ‘just how safe are our children’.
