
A man was arrested for possession of stolen property during an intelligence-driven operation on Tuesday evening,
Ladysmith Crime Intelligence operatives teamed up with the Ladysmith K9 Unit in the operation that targeted a premises in the Rose Park area. The officers netted the suspect they were looking for. In his possession they recovered property that is suspected to have been stolen in recent cases of housebreaking and theft out of motor vehicles.
Laptops, car radios, amplifiers, cellular phones and accessories, electronic equipment, bicycles and a brush cutter are some of the recovered items. The items are valued at between R250,000 and R300,000. The man faces charges of possession of stolen property and detectives are confident that he will be linked to outstanding cases. He is set to appear in court soon.
