85-year-old woman raped and murdered

There has been yet another horror rape and murder in the Dannhauser area – this time of an 85-year-old grandmother.
Police said the body of the elderly woman was found by her daughter at her home on Shepstone Lake Farm, where she lived with her granddaughter who was at work during the incident.
The body was already in a state of decomposition when the daughter visited her mother at about 6pm on Sunday. She is believed to have been attacked some time between the afternoon of November 29 and Sunday.

Two men between the ages of 25-30 were arrested and are expected to appear in the Dannhauser Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday).
Property allegedly stolen from the victim was recovered from one of the suspects.
Investigations into the matter continue.
