Introducing: Mayor, Dr James Mthethwa

: “People who always strive to help others should be rewarded in order to encourage them to do more”

The Message of God in Africa Church has bestowed an honorary doctorate in Theology on Umzinaythi District Municipality Mayor, Rev James Mthethwa.

The ceremony was held in Glenwood, Durban last weekend. Archbishop Mthiyane, founder of the Message of God in Africa Church, stressed the importance of reaping what one sows when he delivered his speech: “People who always strive to help others should be rewarded in order to encourage them to do more”, the Archishop said. Rev Mthethwa was accompanied by his colleagues, St John’s Apostolic Faith Mission Church (Echibini), and members from his church, the Ethekwini Community Church. Joy was clearly etched on the new Dr Mthethwa’s face when he accepted his doctorate.

“I wish to reassure everyone here on the importance of waiting for God, you time will come, don’t ever move away from Him”, Dr Mthethwa concluded after receiving his doctorate.
