Woman attacked at Black Rock
She had a rope around her neck and cut marks on her face

A woman was found badly assaulted at Black Rock this morning (Monday).
Constable Ndlela from the K9 Unit, who was off-duty at the time, was travelling along Carbineer Road when he noticed a woman crawling up from the riverbank onto the road. She had a rope around her neck and cut marks on her face. She had been attacked and badly beaten. The attacker allegedly attempted to strangle the woman.
Good Samaritan Const Ndlela stopped to help and immediately contacted paramedics. Sharaj Ambulance Services responded to the scene and stabilised the patient, who had sustained moderate injuries. She was then transported to hospital. The woman’s cell-phone and shoes had been stolen.
The K9 Unit officer, who happened to be at the right place at the right time, commented that, “It’s my work, and I love to save and protect people.”
