Rotary Vocational Service Awards recognise outstanding service

Worthy recipients because of the outstanding and unselfish work that they do in our community

At the last Rotary meeting, Vocational Service Awards were presented to Courier Editor Terry Worley and Pastor Brother Daniel. Rotary Club of Dundee members felt both were worthy recipients because of the outstanding and unselfish work that they do in our community through their vocations, and they are always willing to attend functions and give of their time. Well done, you guys!

Vocational Awards were also given to Fasie and Harry, during the Golden Oldies Day held recently at the Hattingspruit Dam. Can you believe that it was the 25th year that they have done the music at our Golden Oldies Day? – Amazing!
There were 67 oldies there on the day, and they were treated to tea and cookies, a scrumptious lunch, bingo, and dancing and singing, along with Fasie and Harry, and had a great day!
Thanks to the Glendee Yacht Club for again being so willing to provide the venue; to the Uelzen bus company for the use of the bus; and to Posselt Lourens for driving the bus.
Thanks to Orange Grove Dairy for juices, and all the other generous people and businesses in Dundee for donations and prizes for the bingo.
Thanks also to the Dundee Rotary Club members and the Anns, who worked so hard and enjoyed the day together with the senior citizens of Dundee and Glencoe.
