DECEMBER 5, 2013, will go down in history as a sad day for the people of South Africa, Africa and the world. We learned with shock that one of our own, a refined cadre, fearless freedom fighter and revolutionary intellectual, a first democratic President, the Gentle Giant has ceased to be. Zinhlanu enyangeni ka-Zibandlela kube usuku olubuhlungu nolungasoze lwakhohlakala kubantu base-ningizimu ne-Africa yonkana, ukuzwa izindaba ezibuhlungu zokukwedlula kweqhawe lomzabalazo, ubaba uNelson Rholihlala Mandela nowaba umongameli wokuqala omyama wase-Ningizimu ne-Africa,Umkhandlu AbaQulusi uzwakalisa okukhulu ukudabuka emndenini wakwa-Mandela neSizwe sonke, sika-Phunga no-Mageba sithi lala ngokuthula Qhawe ukulwile ukulwa okuhle. uTata Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela, uDalibhunga, distinguished himself as a true servant of the people, uncompromising in principle and undeterred in his commitment to the creation of a better South Africa. He will sorely be remembered for his selfless and unwavering commitment displayed during the struggle for national liberation to build a nation in which all people can assert fully their human worth. Our people will miss him for the role he played during the liberation struggle and the reconstruction and development of our country post-1994. We have learnt a lot from him, and we will, in his honour and memory, continue to soldier on in pursuit of his ideals of a better South Africa. On my own behalf, the Council of AbaQulusi Municipality and its people, I send heartfelt condolences to Mandela family, the African National Congress and the people of South Africa. May His Soul rest in peace! Lala ngoxolo Tata Mag sy siel in vrede rus. Robala ka Kgotso
