Burglar nabbed and stolen goods found

The suspect appeared in court on Friday on charges of housebreaking and theft.

A burglary suspect appeared in court on Friday after being nabbed by Ladysmith detectives.
This after a woman living in Caldene Drive had her house burgled on Wednesday. She locked her home that morning and left to conduct her business for the day.

When she returned later, she found that her home had been broken into. It was later established that a man was seen running away from the premises.

Police were contacted and a case docket opened.
Following up on information received, detectives from the Ladysmith Detective Service Centre went to a premises where a 23-year-old suspect was arrested.

He was in possession of an item that had been stolen.
On interviewing the man, it was found that the stolen items had been ‘distributed’ in the Ezakheni and Acaciavale areas.
Further investigation led to the discovery of stolen items which consisted of a laptop bag, PlayStation game, sunglasses and a music mixer.
