A man from Roosboom is claiming that water delivered to the community by uThukela has made him and others violently sick.
uThukela delivered water to the Roosboom community on Sunday and the man is claiming that this water is responsible for mass stomach upsets. He and at least three other families have allegedly been suffering from ‘runny tummies’ since Sunday.
The man brought a sample of the water to the Ladysmith Gazette as proof.
He says the water tastes funny, but wary Gazette staff weren’t about to try it for themselves. It did, however, seem to have a strange smell to it. At the time of going to press, uThukela had failed to comment.
