Scarcely a day after reporting on the inactivity at the Ingogo Clinic, it sprang to life.
Multiple sources confirmed workers flocked to the clinic on Thursday after the article broke in the Advertiser, clearing away the long grass and weeds and generally getting the facility prepared for use.
On Friday, Department of Health spokesperson, Nonhlanhla Khuzwayo elaborated on this.
“Thank you for bringing this matter to attention,” she began.
“The clinic will be opened as of February 8, and residents will be able to get their medication and health services there.”
Ms Khuzwayo said she would confirm all relevant information via email at a later stage, yet this was not received at the time of going to print.
