The municipality’s traffic department officers have erected a gazebo in Church Street opposite the police station, and four vehicle-lengths from one of the busiest intersections in the CBD – Church and Landdrost streets. Then, they are pulling over vehicles to check for outstanding warrants, which means the vehicles have to stop in the one lane, and cause congestion, not to say dangerous conditions for passing traffic. Brilliant? No, really really stupid!
And yes, that GP-registered car and the blue taxi behind it have been pulled over. They are stationary, parked, driverless.
