Police arrested a man in Ezakheni after community members apprehended a suspect with goods believed to have been stolen.
Officers responded on Sunday, February 2, after being notified that a man had been caught by vigilant residents while trying to sell goods allegedly stolen during a burglary.
Homeowner Mr Celekahle Mbhele was away with his girlfriend on Saturday, February 1, and when they got back, he found that someone had broken into his house and that several items were missing. The alleged burglar was caught the next day trying to flog his loot, and was handed over to police.
“I would like to thank the community for catching this thief. He must pay for his crime,” said a happy Mr Mbhele.
