Motorists, especially female drivers are advised to be extra cautious when parking in Alexandra Street.
This advice comes from a resident whose vehicle was broken into last Wednesday.
The resident, who did not want to be named, said that she had parked close to Singh’s Pharmacy and exited the vehicle.
When she returned she knew something was amiss.
“My door lock was tampered with, so was my ignition and my cell phone was stolen,” she explained. Fortunately the cash that was inside the vehicle was left untouched.
According to the resident two other female drivers experienced a similar situation.
“One of the ladies told me that she had the same experience last Monday at about 3.30pm. The hotspot is the road between the Phillip and Harding streets robots. People must be very careful when parking here,” concluded the resident.
