Burglars defecated on the floor of classrooms of Lennoxton Primary School, in the latest of a string of break-ins this year.
Confidential sources confirmed the burglars struck over the weekend in the last week of February and the first week of March, in what has been described as a nightmare.
The degree of vandalism has led the source to believe adults may not be the ones responsible.
“It seems the break-in was more to come and take pens and electronic equipment, especially children’s things. It’s more petty vandalism at this stage.”
The source added the school was in contact with members of the SAPS and had private security on-site, although the burglars seemed to know when the patrols were changing shifts.
A grassy area adjacent to the school has exacerbated the problem.
“I have seen small children hanging about over the weekends,” the source concluded.
Anyone with information relating to the burglary spree, which now totals five burglaries at the school, is urged to contact the SAPS.
