Egerton principal in stable condition

He is conscious, awake and aware of his surroundings

Mr Barry Callaway, the principal of Egerton Primary School, is currently at La Verna Hospital where he is undergoing tests after allegedly suffering from chest pains.

At this stage, his condition is not critical. He is conscious, awake and aware of his surroundings. He is under observation in ICU. This is standard procedure for anyone complaining of chest pains. Until test results can confirm the exact cause, doctors are erring on the side of caution in this case.

At the time of going to print,  management at Egerton Primary School had declined to comment.

Pupils are currently writing exams and management are concerned that reports of Mr Callaway’s condition could negatively affect pupils and impact on exam results. The school indicated that it would communicate directly with parents regarding Mr Callaway’s condition.
