Ask the Mayor goes online
The SMS the Mayor system has now changed to an online version, Ask the Mayor.
Residents of Newcastle have had the privilege of having a direct line of communication with the mayor, Afzul Rehman, for the past few years.
The SMS the Mayor initiative has given residents the opportunity to send questions regarding the problems they face on a daily basis, directly to the man himself.
With the advent of modern technology, and the exciting interactivity of web sites, the SMS the Mayor system has now changed to an online version, Ask the Mayor.
The new section on www.newcastleadvertiser.co.za has a form that is easy to complete and then, by clicking ‘submit’, questions will be sent to the Mayor with a simple click of a button.
The questions and answers will also still be published weekly. As of next week, the SMS the Mayor line will be closed.
Log on to our web site, and look for the Ask the Mayor tab under ‘Opinions’. Let your voice be heard, and your questions answered.
