“Estcourt belongs to all of us and it is our responsibility to ensure that it is a safe place for all of us,” these are the words of police spokesperson Captain JS Sokhela, who together with his team are preparing for the Community Police Forum (CPF) annual general meeting that will take place today, Wednesday July 9.
All residents are invited to the meeting that will start at 5.30pm in the Estcourt Police Station conference hall.
The CPF is a group of people, including police, who join hands to reduce and report crime as well as help improve the services rendered by the police.
At today’s meeting, the CPF’s Executive Committee will be elected and they will spearhead the forum’s initiatives.
“This is an open meeting and any member of the community who has an interest in contributing to the fight against crime is welcome to attend,” said Captain Sokhela.
