Gearing up for the Dundee July celebrations

Impilo Bigtym Marquee brings you exclusive entertainment

The Durban July has come and gone, and it is time to renew our very own race, the Dundee July. July 19 is knocking at the door, so you’d all better be prepared for the best day in the year for everyone in the family.
The Impilo Bigtym Marquee is one of the few that is bringing you exclusive entertainment for all age groups and races. This year the owners are bringing you a more sophisticated, classy and elegant experience.
A great line-up of well-known faces in the entertainment industry will be there to entertain you: Tear Gas, Bucie, Bernard, DJ Fingers, The Josh (SABC1 after-party), Naaq Musik (MJ from Generations) and KingSfiso (Gagasi FM). Adding to the exclusivity, fashion designers will be sharing the stage, showcasing their collections. Bornchild – a well-known brand from Durban – will also take centre stage on the day. Melusi Ndima said the Impilo Marquee aims at bringing not only just fun but also a platform to interact with business-people and open dialogues between the different business sectors. He says their sponsors will also be part of this prestigious event. He and his partner Simphiwe emphasise that their marquee is open to everyone who buys a ticket.
They dismissed rumours that their marquee is being sponsored by the IFP. They said the Impilo Bigtym Marquee has no political affiliation whatsoever, it is purely Impilo and nothing else.
“Last year people spread rumours that Zahara, who we booked for the day, would not be playing, yet we brought in Zahara. These are just rumours spread by people who are ‘hating on us’.”
Ndima concluded by saying, “All are welcome to attend, and the entertainment promises to be impressive.”
He said there will also be live streaming on Youtube, so he ‘warns’ people to be looking their best!
Impilo Bigtym Marquee tickets are available at Computicket.
