Police issue brazier warnings
"We as the police would like to warn members of the community to be extra careful when putting braziers indoors, especially when doors and windows are closed," said Constable Nyembe, Communications Officer for the Dannhauser SAPS.

Police issued warnings against keeping braziers, more commonly known as ‘mbawulas’ in homes, without proper ventilation or supervision.
“We as the police would like to warn members of the community to be extra careful when putting braziers indoors, especially when doors and windows are closed,” said Constable Nyembe, Communications Officer for the Dannhauser SAPS.
His warning follows the death of an elderly couple in the Dannhauser area on July 12, after they fell asleep while the brazier was lit in their home.
The elderly man was found dead in his bed, and the elderly woman was found sitting near the brazier with food in her hand. An inquest has been opened and further investigations are being carried out.
