Harsh dust covers town… but cold weather on the way

So do not pack away your winter woolies just yet....

A cold front has made for a miserable day. Dusty is swirling around the area and the constant fear of veld fires breaking out has got farmers standing on their tip toes.

The weather bureau lists the weather at a warm 28 degrees at lunchtime with gusts of wind reaching 27 km/h.

However, the wind is a front runner for a cold front racing in from the Cape.

The temperature is expected to plummet to 13 degrees tomorrow with at least 2mm of rain expected.  At night, a minimum of minus one is expected.

The mercury rises to 17 degrees on Saturday and to 18 degrees on Sunday with plenty of sunshine.

So do not pack away your winter woolies just yet….
