Gathering to worship the divine Mother

A Saraswathie Pooja was hosted by the Sat Chit Ananda Temple last week.
During the pooja, devotees worshipped the Divine Mother Saraswathie the Goddess of knowledge, music, arts and wisdom.
It is believed Saraswathie was able to bestow knowledge onto devotees, and one of the ways acquire her blessings was to make her happy through bringing joy to children.
It is believed children are linked to purity and their innocence bring them closer to the benevolent goddess.
Children as well as adults brought text books, pens and other items linked to knowledge.
These items formed part of the pooja, where devotees were prayed for and asked to be given knowledge and wisdom.
With the pooja falling on the eighth day of Navarathi, devotees engulfed themselves in their beliefs and enjoyed an evening of spiritual enlightenment.
