Motorshow set to spin things up

Speed freaks and sound enthusiasts are in for a treat this weekend.

Hailed as the rebirth of a much-needed organisation in Newcastle, the Northern Natal Motorsport CANSA Relay For Life Motor Show is destined to have your adrenaline pumping.

Boasting a huge sound competition, excellent vehicles on display at the show ‘n shine, a dyno run for motorists wanting to test their vehicles, and a dynamic drifting show, petrol-heads, car fans, and people just after a good time are guaranteed a show they will not forget.

For those in search of a massive adrenaline rush, hop into one of the drifter cars for a suicide ride. Have no fear either because Northern Natal Motorsport (NNMS) drifters, Nabeel Dawood and Pono and Stompie, will have spinning right around in safe hands.

The drifting line-up includes, Max My Rides Preshu, and local oval track favourites, Boet Buys, Tiaan Buys, Uncle Johan, Hendrick ‘Koos’ Van der Merwe and Mynhardt Myburgh.

Leading up to the event, nearly 2 000 supporters have already made their voices heard, as they pledged their support of the event.

NNMS has taken CANSA under its wing, and all proceeds generated via the event will be donated towards the organisation.

Gates to the motor show will open at 8am this week Saturday at Farmers Hall with tickets costing R20, while children under the age of 12 get a day/night pass for free.

After the motor show, visitors are urged to participate in the CANSA Relay For Life to show their support to the fight against cancer.

Local broadcasting association, ETV, will also be covering the event, so if you are lucky, you may just find your face on TV.
