Arrested while trying to dispose of drugs

Crack cocaine with an estimated street value of between R1500 and R2000 was found

Vigilant Dog Unit (K9) officers nabbed a 32-year-old suspect for possession of drugs on Friday morning after noticing suspicious activity at a house in Kandahar Avenue.

The police officers surrounded the house and as they went to investigate, a person was caught trying to get rid of a parcel of drugs. The suspect was arrested and the drugs recovered.

Crack cocaine with an estimated street value of between R1500 and R2000 was found. A scale used to weigh the drugs was also seized.

The suspect is set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court this week on charges of possession of cocaine.
