Two stolen cars, along with stolen parts, have been recovered by the Ladysmith Vehicle Identification Section (VIS).
This after two motor vehicles were stolen during the course of Thursday night, December 4, in the Colenso area. Investigations led police officers to the Msinga area late the same night, where they recovered one of the stolen vehicles, a Toyota Venture. The vehicle was partially stripped, but police were able to recover the stripped parts as well.
The next day, the officers went out to the Mhlangana area, also in Msinga, where they recovered another Toyota Venture that had had its engine and chassis numbers tampered with.
Both vehicles have been impounded pending further police investigations.
At this stage, no arrests have been made.
