A 63-year-old man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a man at Ultra City on Thursday, January 15. Police received a report of the incident at about 6.30pm.

When they arrived on scene, they found the victim, whose identity has not been released, with two stab wounds. He implicated Sibusiso Sibiya, who was arrested for attempted murder. “The accused appeared in the Estcourt Magistrates Court on Monday, January 19. The motive for the act is unknown at this stage and the Estcourt Detectives are investigating the case,” commented police spokesperson Captain JS Sokhela. The case has been postponed to Thursday, January 22.
