
Although no arrests were made during yesterday (Thursday) afternoon’s SAPS and Public Safety raid of the various taxi ranks in town, the following items were recovered: 300 dagga trees, 3kg of dagga and 40g of loose dagga, 2 crates of beer, 11 crates of empty beer bottles, 1 whoonga straw and 150 pirate DVDs.
The aim of the raid was to confiscate drugs and arrest those involved in the illicit trade of illegal substances, thereby making Ladysmith a safer place to live.
