BREAKING NEWS: One injured as fire engulfs truck
The man sustained serious burns to his legs and was taken to Madadeni Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
As the morning mist subsided, a truck was engulfed in flames at Zama Garage, along Albert Wessels Drive, making a sunny day sombre.
The incident occurred at about 5.10am this morning, leaving one man injured. He allegedly sustained burns to his legs and according to an official source at Emergency Services Newcastle, the man was transported to Madadeni Hospital for further treatment.
A bystander alleged the trailer of another truck also caught flame, along with a smaller vehicle described as a ‘van’.
It is unclear at this stage what caused the blaze.
