
The mutilated body of a 65-year-old woman was found in Cornfields on Friday, March 13. Police made the gruesome discovery at about 7pm when a complaint of a murder was received.
The crime scene was grim and police discovered the battered and mutilated body of an elderly woman left discarded on the ground. During their investigations, police established that the woman had been assaulted to death and her neck and ear were sliced.
“The motive of the killing is unknown. One female suspect aged 26 was arrested and will appear in the Estcourt Magistrates Court,” commented Lieutenant Colonel TM Mabaso.
