A 26-year-old woman was burnt alive in her home in Loskop on Sunday, March 15. According to a police report the woman and her boyfriend were asleep when three unknown males gained entry to the home at 12.15am.

The boyfriend fled the scene and proceeded to the police station to report the matter. Police responded immediately but on arrival, they found the house was engulfed in flames. The woman was still inside the house and attempts to rescue her began. However, it was discovered that the woman had burnt inside the house.

Police are investigating. The motive is unknown and no arrests have been made.
