Suspected thief arrested

Upon taking stock of the items stolen, it was discovered that goods to the value of R30 000 was taken

A good end may be in sight for a shop owner who was robbed two weeks ago. Estcourt Detectives have arrested a 31-year-old suspect and recovered most of the stolen items.

The shop owner discovered the break-in on Tuesday morning at about 7.30am. Upon taking stock of the items stolen, it was discovered that goods to the value of R30 000 was taken.

Through thorough investigation, detectives arrested the 31-year-old suspect who was charged and appeared in the Estcourt Magistrates Court on Thursday, April 30. The Estcourt Cluster Commander Brigadier Johan Reynders and Station Commander Colonel Kheswa have commended the officers on the good work.
