Jailed for culpable homicide, possession of illegal firearm

Sikhumbuzo was attending a traditional function at the Ntuli homestead when he got into a fight with a crowd of people.

Sikhumbuzo Goodenough (25) of Allen Farm has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for possession of an unlicensed firearm and 10 years for culpable homicide.
Sikhumbuzo was found guilty by the Newcastle Regional Court following the death of Fezile Zamal (20) on August 11, 2013.
Sikhumbuzo was attending a traditional function at the Ntuli homestead when he got into a fight with a crowd of people.
During the fight Fezile tried to intervene and stop the fight when he was shot in the face by Sikhumbuzo. The firearm used was unlicensed. Station Commander, MajorNtanda, congratulated Investigating Officer, W/O Sipho Mgabhi for a job well done.
