Lady Luck plays her part

Blackrock Casino hosted a Supreme Payout promotion exclusively for black cardholders from July 17 to September 12.

The grand finale took place at its premises on September 12, with cardholders hopeful Lady Luck was on their side.

Throughout the course of the promotion, draws took place every Friday in order to identify 12 semi-finalists.

During the nail-biting elimination round, six finalists were selected. The chosen ones stood a chance to win R100 000 in cash.

In the end, there could only be one. Mr D. Sewpersad walked away the victor, with Rita Struwig the runner up and Chin Pao Hsu coming in at third place. The prize for second and third place was R20 000 and R10 000 respectively.

Supreme Payout was Blackrock’s first exclusive promotion. A total of R300 000 in cash and FreePlay was awarded to players throughout the duration of the three-month event. On the evening of the finale, a total of R180 000 in cash and FreePlay was up for grabs.

The annual Slots Factor promotion will commence on September 19, where the top 30 qualifiers will battle it out for first place.

The highest scoring player is guaranteed a spot in the finals, which will take place at Suncoast Casino September 26.

Ultimately, it will be three lucky representatives from Blackrock, who will have the opportunity to compete in the national championships.

Players stand a chance to win their share of a total prize pool of R2.5-million in cash and FreePlay. The overall prize is a guaranteed R1.1-million.
