The selling of ‘space muffins’ in local schools is continuing say police. The muffins are laced with dagga and police are concerned for the health of pupils who gobble up these delicacies.
“Children caught selling these muffins will be criminally charged and stand to be stuck with criminal records,,” said police spokesman, Captain V Mbense.
Fourteen people were arrested after they were found in possession of dagga in an intensive police crack down over two days last week. One arrest was made on a charge of dealing in dagga.
“We urge the community – including all educators – to help us to rid our town of this drug scourge,” Captain Mbense told the Courier.
