Mrs Gwen Thomas who has spent 27 years teaching at Drakensview, Mr Phillip Marais - nine years and Ms Pam Juan who has taught at the school for 13 years.
Drakensview has said goodbye to three teachers who together have served the school for 49 years.
More impressive however is their total contribution of 115 years service to teaching. Mrs Gwen Thomas, Ms Pam Juan and Mr Phillip Marais are finally packing away their chalk and retiring. A huge hole has been left by these three dedicated teachers.
At various functions they were thanked by the learners, school management and colleagues for their contributions to the school.
Although they now have the opportunity to go home and relax after all these years of working, it remains to be seen for how long this energetic group will rest.
As necessary as it is for people to retire, Drakensview will be the poorer for it. Good luck and enjoy the next adventure your life brings to you.
