Residents up in arms over coal trucks

Dust from coal trucks have got residents saying enough is enough

The dust kicked up by passing coal trucks has got Beaconsfield Street residents up in arms.

The trucks travel down Browning Street, passing by homes on Beaconsfield Street as they make their way to the plant.

Residents say they can handle the rumbling of the trucks at 4am in the morning but it’s the dust that’s the major problem.

The dust poses a major health hazard to people living nearby as well as causing a huge mess to the homes.

The mine promised, many months ago, to keep the route watered so as to stop the dust from becoming a problem.

However, residents say that this is not the case.
