Taxi drivers protest arrest of 94 suspects

" Forty firearms were recovered and will be sent for ballistic tests to check if they were used in any other crimes in the province

Taxi owners gathered in Utrecht, KZN, today in response to the arrest of 94 suspects who gathered illegally on Sunday.

This is according to KZN police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Thulani Zwane, who said police were monitoring the situation.
A group of taxi owners from various associations blocked the road near the Utrecht Police Station yesterday after the arrest of 94 suspects in the Blood River area on Sunday”We can confirm that 94 suspects were arrested for Sunday’s  illegal gathering. Forty  firearms were recovered and will be sent for ballistic tests to check if they were used in any other crimes in the province.”, said Lt Col Zwane.
