Dagga to the value of R250 000 has been recovered in Loskop and a 60-year-old woman was arrested last Tuesday, September 13.
Amangwe Community Service Centre (CSC) members were going about their duties when they received information about dagga being kept in a homestead in the Makekeni location. Police swooped on the homestead shortly after midnight.
“They discovered 11 bags and one drum containing dagga. The total weight of the dagga is around 157.4kg and the estimated street value of the dagga is around R250 000,” commented police spokesperson Captain Charmaine Struwig.
The woman appeared in the Estcourt Magistrate’s Court on the same day where she faced charges of dagga possession.
