Water specialists arrive in Glencoe to tackle crisis

Water crisis enters its fifth day

The promised specialists from Newcastle are currently in Glencoe to attend to the water outage in the central residential area which is now in its fifth day.

Nomonde Nzimakwe of the Umzinyathi District Municipality said specialists from Newcastle are currently on site to check on the 5 PRV’s (pressure reducing valves) for the five affected streets, ie Boundary, Kemp, Church, Celle and Daman Street in Glencoe.

The surrounding areas, including Van Riebeck Street, are also affected.

She assured the Courier that ‘everyone is doing all they can to sort out the crisis’.  Watch out for updates.
